My Daily Beauty Regimen NATURAL Style!

We bombard ourselves daily with chemicals and synthetics without even thinking about it. We use parabens and synthetics on our skin. Let’s worship our temples and do something good for it!

What if I told you it was cheaper and more simple to make your own? What if I told you that simplifying things would de stress your life?

Well I believe it to be true! Everyday, I use handmade lotion on my skin. It takes about 10minutes to make a batch. Usually when I make it, I just incorporate it into a meal time cooking session in my kitchen. If you can boil water, you can make lotion. I’ve attached links for easy ordering. Get everything you need and be ready to create!

I also make my own deodorant. So simple. Just a few drops of essential oil is all you need.

I make my own olive oil based cleanser, with essential oils. My skin is brighter and healthier than it ever has been.

I use immortelle essential oil blend under my eyes to reduce dark circles.

Mind you everything about all of the things I just mentioned above are ALL NATURAL! Mind blown!

These items are SO easy to make! Or if it all sounds like too much, you can purchase them from my Etsy store.

Deodorant:

16 drops Citrus Bliss essential oil

16 drops Lemon essential oil

Fill 5ml roller bottle Here’s where to get them click here the rest of the way with Fractionated Coconut Oil This the the one I use click here

Use as needed. It smells delightful!

I also created a great men’s recipe:

15 drops Hawaiian Sandalwood

20 drops Arborvitae

10 drops Clary Sage

Fill 5ml roller bottle Here’s a link to roller bottles the rest of the way with Fractionated Coconut Oil This is the coconut oil I use

Oil Cleanser:
15 drops Frankinsence essential oil

15 drops Geranium essential oil

Fill 2oz glass bottle You can get them here the rest of the way with Organic Virgin Olive Oil Here’s a link to organic olive oil

To Use:

Rub quarter size amount onto dry face. Use warm damp cloth to remove. That’s it! Prepare to be amazed. Lol

Lotion:

In a double boiler, I like to make directly in a mason jar Order here to eliminate mess. I’m not big on making messes. Lol.

Combine

8 TBS Organic Coconut Oil Order here

3 TBS Beeswax (I like the pellets they are easier to measure and melt) Order here

2 TBS Cocoa Butter Order here

20 drops of your favorite essential oil (avoid citrus oils and wait to add until

the end)

Heat water in the pot to simmer, add ingredients into mason jar and set in pot with water. Stir with popsicle stick until completely melted. Take carefully out of the water and let sit for about 5 minutes, then stir in the essential oil and let cool. (It takes a few hours to finish cooling.). This is a good “summer blend” as the weather gets cooler the amount of beeswax can be reduced to 2 TBS to allow for a softer lotion. The coconut oil melts at 76 degrees Fahrenheit and will harden up in the winter so less beeswax is needed.

Dryer Balls…It’s a Thing

I’d love to tell you the history of dryer balls. Where they originated. The person who invented them and all that jazz. However, when it comes to laundry I just can’t get to excited about anything about it.

I definitely used dryer sheets though. My biggest pet peeve with laundry is static. Hate it.

When I saw the Christmas Catalog from dōTERRA I saw them and thought:

1. It has PV so maybe I’ll get them. (That’s point value which means points for me ☺️)

2. They could be a good present for a couple of my family members.

I ordered 2 sets. I didn’t think at all about using them myself until they sold out in one day on the website. Well, there definitely is something about strength in numbers. Once they sold out I saw message boards all over the place with tons of people talking about where else to get them as well as even how to make them yourself.

Do they really work? Well, the only way to find out is to try it myself. So I popped all four of those puppies out of my would be family members Christmas present, added a couple drops of lavender oil, and tossed them in my dryer.

Not much to report really. They just bounced around and the dryer stopped when the timer went off and I pulled out my clothes. They did not have the typical pungent smell from dryer sheets. They just felt “normal”. There was no static except a fleece blanket that wasn’t quite magnetic, but that happens with fleece and dryer sheets too sometimes.

Overall, I feel better about using the wooly balls then a chemical enveloped sheet. So I will continue to use them.

Now I need to get crafty to make something for my family member without a gift! I hope this helps!

Feel the Vibration!

I recently became very interested in vibrational energy. I wanted to up my oil game with something different. So I decided to do crystal infused carrier oil with herb infusions as well. My first order of business is my daughter who cannot manage to get restful sleep. Diffusing oils has definitely helped a lot, but the idea of crystal infusion is too much to pass up.

So I’ve been reading about how the whole world is constantly vibrating. Everything on this planet is made up of atoms and they are constantly buzzing around. We as humans are sensitive to these vibrations.

Crystals have specific vibrational energies that are synergistic to our bodies. I read howlite was calming and greet for sleep so I decided to use it. I charged my crystal by clearing my thoughts and running the stone under spring water to clear its energy. The I submerged it in fractionated coconut oil and left it out in a glass container under the moonlight overnight.

I then added chamomile.  Chamomile as well is great for relaxation.  I put my glass container with the chamomile flowers in my pantry for 10 days. When I finally opened it up the smell was amazing!  I added a drop of lavender essential oil and it was finished!

I strained it with cheesecloth and bottled it up!

I can’t wait to use it in a roller bottle ☺️ if you would like to purchase a roller bottle of it please go to my etsy site!

What You Need to Know About Your A/R Balance

Over my 2 years with dōTERRA, I have looked at my dashboard watching a little number called AR balance go up steadily. I wasn’t really sure what it was, so I chatted with a rep to get to the bottom of it. Turns out it’s actually something you will want to know about.

If you go to your dashboard in your back office on the left side you will see something like this…

In the section under my earnings, you will see my A/R balance.

This is like a little bank account for you. It turns out whenever you earn a commission under $12 the money goes here. You can either get a check sent to you for a fee, or you can apply it to an order. So, next time you are ready to put together an LRP order and you want to save your cash, call or chat with a rep and they can apply the AR balance towards the order.

Health and Happiness!

Salve Your Prōblem

I love salve! It is a great base to add ōils to. I love it because it is so moisturizing and has the ability to carry your favorite essential oil to do its job like a boss.

I love the recipe from camp wander although with our mild weather in California I do 6TBS beeswax.

1 cup coconut oil
1 cup organic olive oil (I use Trader Joes)
4 tablespoons organic beeswax pastilles (generous tablespoons)
1/2 teaspoon vitamin e oil is optional

I use a mason jar for melting. A measuring cup is a nightmare to clean when it has these ōils melted on it. I put the mason jar in a pot of water and use as a double boiler. Keep over a low to medium flame and keep stirring. It will go from this:

To this:

2015/01/img_6841.jpg

It should take about 15 minutes. Then let it cool for a few minutes, add your ōils (about 20 drops for each 4oz jar)

Combinations I like to use are:
Serenity
Frankincense (great to use for anything!)
Frankincense/Lavender/Melaleuca (great for owies)
Black Pepper/Frankincense/Cypress (great for warming cold hands)
Frankincense/Lavender/Cypress

Finished salves are available on my Etsy Store

Great Bag for Classes

I was carrying my Rubbermaid file box to a class and thought to myself, “There’s got to be a better way!”

Well there is. I found a fun bag, that doesn’t look like luggage and holds my laptop, samples, booklets, books and my diffuser. Plus it rolls!

It’s a cut Nicole Lee bag. I got it here for about $85.

Here’s a pic of the inside

I’m loving this bag!

DIY Aromatherapy Bracelet

This little project takes all of 10 minutes. I think the thing that took me the longest was deciding what color bracelet I wanted to make. I made them 5″ for my girls (aged 7 & 9) and 6″ for myself.

What you will need:

Lava rock beads (I got mine here with Amazon Prime) 8mm

Beads of choice

Stretchy cord (I used 0.8mm from Walmart)

Measure the length you need with the stretchy cord then I used 5 lava rock beads and the rest tiger eye.

Knot your cord nice and tight. Then add a few drops of oil to the lava rock beads. Done and done!

If it all sounds like too much trouble Id be happy to make you one. Check out my Etsy Store!

I’m so excited to send my girls to school with their favorite oil!

What my Friends and Clients are getting for Christmas

Maybe not everyone will get this I have some other plans, however this one takes a little planning.

I found this great post the other day and I wanted to share it, because if you want to jump on the bandwagon then you will have to hop to it! I’m all about great projects with little to no effort. Call me lazy if you want, but with 3 kids and a demanding husband a dog cat and several fish I call it survival.

So on to my project. Vanilla Extract! It makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

1L bottle of vodka or rum
20 6-7″ vanilla beans
20 2oz glass bottles with droppers

It pretty much goes like this. Take a 1L bottle of vodka or rum. The cheapest vodka totally works from the research I’ve done. The beans will cost more than the vodka. Lol. Anyways. I’ll post a link with the original post if you want to check it out. I haven’t made it yet so this is all theory, so I’m doing a smaller batch myself. I ordered 30 Madagascar vanilla beans from ebay which apparently is a common place to get vanilla beans. Go figure. I have a brand new bottle of white rum that we never used for a party so that’s what I’m going to use.

I figured using 20 beans with a 1L bottle should be the same proportions. You just trim the ends off the beans and cut them lengthwise. I’m going to deviate from the recipe in the link and actually put them in the alcohol bottle. Then you shake the bottle vigorously and set in a cool dark place. (The back of my pantry) and shake once a week for about 12 weeks.

When you put the bottles together for your gifts just add a bean in there so that it can just keep getting better!
I’ll update this post when it’s finished and let you know how it goes!

Update:
It turned out wonderful! Here’s a pic!
