I watched a video a couple of months ago that showed a toilet with horrible hard water stains with only vinegar. I thought it was so great, but hadn’t tried it until today. Here’s what I did. With amazing before and after pics!
Before:
Ok I admit it’s not a shocking pic, but you can still see the ring. I tried Ajax several times with no avail.
First I turned off the valve to the water. I flushed the toilet and most of the water was gone. Then I took a bit of toilet paper and doused it with regular white vinegar. I repeated the process until I had wet vinegar toilet paper covering the ring.
Then I left it alone. For about 6 hours. When I came back I flushed the toilet and lightly scrubbed it with the toilet scrubber.
The ring is gone! There’s a little shadow where the actual toilet has a little indent. It’s amazing!
